Galactica Breaks Makes an Emergency Stop in the Rain

Earlier today, Galactica made an emergency stop in the rain because one of the sensors on the ride was covered in rain from the day's bad weather. News outlets reported that riders were 'screaming and crying' however a tweet from Rebekah on Twitter stating;

Alton Towers said:

"Heavy rain obscured a sensor on Galactica which meant that the ride was automatically stopped. This is a standard safety feature on this ride and the ride was working exactly as it is designed to do. The heath and safety of our guests is our number one priority and our team followed standard procedures to get the guests off as quickly and as safely as possible"
