We haven't really had much to report on over the closed seaoson... until now! Alton Towers have just announced that there will be a whole bunch of new things coming to the Resort in 2016.
First things first, there will be two new attractions coming to the Resort next season. There will be a new ground-breaking ride experience and a very unique restaurant coming to the Park. This could be hinting towards Air's refurbishment and the new Food Loop resteraunt that is possibly coming next year. There will also be a new coffee shop and entertainment . The exact details are very secret but we will report back as soon as we find out more. More details will be released in the New Year.
A brand new scheme called 'Towers Loving Care' will be launched next year. This scheme will see whole areas of the Park being repainted, pathways relayed and improved sinage and developments to the accommodation offering. We will see changes to the line up for the 2015 season but there will be more news about that next month.
The new opening times for the Park have been announced. There will not be a February Half Term event this year but there are events on across the hotels, such as the Pirate and Princess week. The Theme Park will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during off peak periods - 19th-27th April, 10th-25th May and the 6th September-12th October. The Park will also closed on the 1st-4th of November.
Next year, Scarefest will be held on the 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th and 21st-31st of October with next season ending with the annual Fireworks display on the 5th and 6th of November, taking the number of displays down from 3 to 2.
